Christella dentata - Soft Ground Fern
An endangered fern in NZ. Found in Northland swamps. Easy in cultivation.
Rhizomes erect or short, creeping with tall, light green, tufted, erect fronds which give it a fine, feathery look. New, unfurling koru are an eye-catching reddish brown colour. Can spread to form a tall ground cover.
Frost tender. Collectors fern. One of our
favourites.
